I started off my youth week experience in 2009 at the time when Youth week was held in the School hall. From the logistics head in 2009, to vice president of PYC in 2010; to not being able to much in 2011 due to my final year to being mentor of hospitality in 2012 and mentor of Security in 2013, I have worked with almost every department. This journey has been amazing and I miss being a part of the youth activities and the youth week. The reason I joined the youth group(hence youth week) was to interact with other youth and be an active member of the church, but it has been way beyond that. A learning experience overall :interacting/dealing with people with different personalities, trying hard to get sponsors, tackling tough situations, working with limited budgets and stringent time lines, taking various tough decisions(with people and zones) and most importantly learning how to have fun while. This experience enhances a person's management skills and helps realise the inner potential because circumstances compel you to do things what you consider your core areas.
My personal best experience has to be mopping the hall everyday before the event and then setting up chairs.Youth week has scaled up drastically ever since in every aspect.
Youth Week 2016 - Youth For Change, will be held from 28th November to 3rd December, 07:30 p.m. on the church ground. Please come in large numbers and encourage and motivate the youth of our parish.
As it is a desire of our youth, some part of the proceeds from the youth week will go to Jankalyan Trust, Mahad for the wellbeing of tribal children and Muktisagar Prabodhan Kendra, Uttan.
