This group of women came together with an aim of instilling the love for reading in the children of Our Lady of Lourdes' Church, Orlem. A so called 'traditional' habit that was sadly getting deferred towards cell phones and the television. Like the sacred act of handing down the faith to our children, this was akin to handing down a traditional elixir of success to impressionable minds.
'A Novel Idea' is located in a *cove* in the premises of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. One can never solve ;the *mystery* of the continuous pile of books. Thanks to the generous contributions of our parishioners. The experiences are interspersed with *adventures* in the form of story writing competitions or colouring competitions with delicious *scones* and *brownies* for servings.
A Novel Idea promises to not only offer the books but the experiences that come with the library. Here friendships are created and fellowship is nurtured.
It's not a surprise that the parents and 'young at heart' parishioners have also rekindled their love for reading, as they frequent their visits to 'A Novel Idea'.
Today with 156 registrations, a legacy is born.... towards giving back to society.
We need you to help us leave a lasting imprint !
