The Announcements

1. 18thFebruary is Ash Wednesday - a day of fast and abstinence. Masses will be celebrated as per the following schedule:

In English:  6 am, 7 am, 8 am; 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm

In Tamil: 9:15 am and 4 pm

For school children:at 12 noon

2. During the season of Lent, the stations of the cross will be conducted as per the following schedule:

In English: at 4:45 pm by the clergy team; 7:30 pm by the communities

In Konknni: at 6 pm

In Tamil: at 8:15 pm

For children: On Sundays after the 10:30 am Mass

3. The term of the present Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) will expire in the month of May. In keeping with the archdiocesan policy, elections for the new parish councillors will take place in all sectors of our parish in the month of March. Parishioners who wish to stand for elections are required to fill a proforma available in the parish office and submit it by the end of this month. The names of the new parish councillors will be announced at the Community Easter Masses.

4. (to be announced till the 5:15 pm Mass only) On the occasion of World Marriage Day, the Family Cell invites married couples for Date Night– an evening of fun, dance and dinner, tomorrow/today, beginning with the renewal of marriage vows at the 6:30 pm Mass.. 5. To mark the beginning of the season of Lent, the Parish Youth Council invites all youth for a Lenten Outreach to the House of Charity, Versova, followed by Stations of the Cross, on Thursday, 19th February. Kindly look up the notice board for further details.

6. During the season of Lent, the Bible Cell will be conducting a Lenten-Easter module titled “From Ashes to Glory” in our parish communities. Parishioners are encouraged to participate. Kindly refer to the notice board and contact any of the Word ministers mentioned therein for further details.

7. Old palms will be collected in the church compound after all Masses tomorrow/today. The surplus ash from these palms will be used to nourish the plants in our church campus.

8. (to be announced till the 10:30 am Mass only) The Environment Cell will have their monthly dry waste collection tomorrow/today from 9:30 am to 12 noon.

9. The Nihar Special School of our parish offers a holistic development approach to support children with special needs aged 4 to 16 years, offering academic and therapeutic formation. Kindly see the notice board for admission details.
