இயேசுவும் நானும் (Yesuvum Nanum) Tamil Sunday School.

 இயேசுவும் நானும் .( I and Jesus), is the name selected for the Catechism classes held on Sunday and popularly known as Sunday School. The Steering Team however, decided to blank out the word School, because it brought memories of teachers and lessons, time-tables and exams and hit upon this name  இயேசுவும் நானும். The syllabus was also re-worked and added to it was faith in action and making the classes action oriented and activity based.

 

At present 400 children attend இயேசுவும் நானும், coached by 40 catechists.

 

 The  இயேசுவும் நானும் works on several activities during the year which are as follows:

 

➡ Orientation in June.

➡ Parent's day celebration in July.

➡ Encouraging children with Bible stories and moral games in August.

➡ Celebrating Novena to birthday of Our Lady of Lourdes in September.

➡ Faith Formation STD 5 & 6 in September.

➡ Bible Exhibition using recycle materials in October.

➡ Faith Formation STD 7 & 8 in October.

➡ Vacation Bible School (VBS) in October. (during Diwali vacation)

➡ Faith Formation STD 9 & 10 in November.

➡ Christmas celebration for children in December.

➡ Bible Quiz in January.

➡ Retreat for children in February.

➡ Annual day in March.

Note:

➡ Catechists meeting, first Sunday of each month.

➡ Recollection for the catechist first week of each quarter.
