Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is a vital component of Christian initiation, closely linked with Baptism and the Eucharist. It strengthens the baptized, enriching them with the Holy Spirit and imprints an indelible character that binds them more firmly to the Church. (Code of Canon Law 879)

Through Confirmation, individuals receive a special grace that empowers them to witness to their faith boldly and to engage actively in the mission of the Church. This sacrament not only deepens one's relationship with Christ but also enhances the gifts of the Holy Spirit, enabling the confirmed to live out their Christian vocation with courage and commitment. The importance of Confirmation lies in its role in completing the process of initiation, equipping believers to spread and defend the faith in their daily lives.

Confirmation Preparation for Youth (in English):

The programme for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year process for teens in Class X (Pre-Confirmation) and XI (Confirmation).

The sessions for the Confirmation programme take place every Sunday at 04:30 PM in the school classrooms followed by the Youth Mass at 06:30 PM in the Church.

Confirmation Preparation for Youth (in Tamil):

The Parish also offers the Confirmation programme for teens well-versed in Tamil. The programme is conducted every Sunday at 2:30 pm in the school classroom.

Confirmation Preparation for Adults:

Adults who were baptized Catholic but did not receive the Sacrament of Confirmation should contact the priest-in-charge for more information on receiving this Sacrament.
